The 2nd Annual SIMTank event again featured some of Denver’s best start-ups and some of the most knowledgeable venture capital investors. The event took place at the Galvanize entrepreneur workspace on August 19th, 2014. This year’s winner was Remotely, a business which offers home and building automation for the Rental Industry.
SIM Tank is a tech-sector networking event that connects some of Colorado’s best start-up companies, investors and corporations. It was created through a partnership between the Colorado chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and the Colorado Technology Association (CTA).
The focus of the event is to promote technology innovation in Colorado with four local tech start-ups pitching to investors in a format inspired by the hit show “Shark Tank.” For the second year in a row KidsTek was a beneficiary of the event, receiving a generous donation from SIM Tank’s fundraising efforts. Clara Tran, one of KidsTek’s students, gave a short speech on KidsTek’s behalf. “KidsTek has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities,” Clara stated, “I greatly appreciate having the chance to be here tonight and I am so excited to be contributing to the evolution of technology.”
